EDC was established in 1964 to provide administrative technology based services and support exclusively to the education market. Originally formed as Educational Data Center by the De La Salle Christian Brothers, the company grew over time from a focus on data processing for affiliate schools to developing and licensing financial and administrative software. Over the course of more than 40 years, the company has become known for its knowledge of the education sector and quality customer service.
Located twenty-five miles southwest of Chicago, EDC serves a variety of higher-education institutions throughout the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean. Its client base includes two and four-year undergraduate, graduate, post graduate and professional level schools in the private, public, and proprietary sectors. EDC is a privately owned company.
