To all Portfolio Administrators, today you will find new enhancements in Portfolio Intelligence.  Thank you to our clients who requested these improvements.  We appreciate your input and are happy to make changes to our product that make Portfolio Intelligence work better for you. 

1. New reporting cube called "Plan Phases"
2. New health indicators for phases, tasks, and milestones
3. Key project dates added to the Plan and Plan Phases cubes for reporting
4. New options to sort saved reports by title, author,or date

New reporting cube "Plan Phases":
This new cube isolates plan phase information allowing for reporting on plan phases only, excluding plan task information.  Full project plan information including phases, tasks, and milestones is still available in the Plan cube.

New health indicators for phases, tasks, and milestones:
Color status health indicators for phases, tasks, and milestones are available to indicate if plan elements are trending off track or are in trouble.  The new indicators appear in the plan schedule area on the Plan tab in the project folder.  The indicators are integrated with reports in both the Plan and Plan Phase cubes.

Key project dates added to the Plan and Plan Phases cubes for reporting:
The following project dates have been added to the Plan and Plan Phases cube for enhanced reporting: Actual Start, Original Rollout, Current Rollout, Actual Rollout, Final completion, Percent Complete, PM Status and Comments.

New options to sort saved reports by title, author, or date:
New column header options to sort the list of save reports by title, author, or date.

1. Project % Complete
2. Change to the Add/Edit Roster Member Wizard

Project % Complete - We added a field to the Plan tab of the project folder that allows you to manually input and maintain a project level percent complete.  This field is integrated with the Full Status View, the Filter and Reports.  The field is located in the Dates & Comments section of the Plan tab.  Be sure to select Save when editing fields in this section.  Tips for viewing this field. Filter the portfolio on a range of Percent Complete to see a sub view of projects that are almost finished or are just getting started.  Add this field to your reports to include it as a query item and/or add it as a column to display on your report.  See it displayed on the Full Status View and sort the project list by % Complete. 

Change to the Add/Edit Roster Member Wizard - We simplified the process of adding a resource to a project roster by showing only the defined skill sets of the resource name selected.  To edit the skill sets of a resource, go to Administration > Resources tab.

1. Notes icon and rollover for milestones coming due on the Project Dashboard
When notes are present for a milestone listed in the Milestones Coming Due list on the Project tab dashboard, a yellow icon will now appear just like on the project schedule on the Plan tab in the project folder.  Users can hover over the yellow icon to read the notes about the milestone without having to open the milestone. 

2. Final Completion Date
A new date has been added to the Dates & Comments section of the Plan tab in the project folder.  The new date field, "Final Completion Date" is separate from the roll out dates already provided.  This date can represent what you wish for the project.  A few suggestions are to track the date you plan to complete the review processes on the Measure tab or track the due date for your post completion project activities.  This date field is optional and is not part of the Project Schedule Graph.  If you chose to use it, you can define its' purpose as appropriate for your organization.  If you chose not to use it, then simply leave it blank.  This date is included on the Filter tool and in Reports on the project data cube for query and inclusion on a report.

3. Sort and total time entries by project

For our Time Sheet Solution users, resources entering time can now sort and total their time entries either by day OR by project directly from their time sheet entry screen.  Simply select the respective column header to sort the time entries.
